If the arrival of a Soho House (alongside an endless string of third-wave coffee shops and indie boutiques) is any indication, the downtown side street of Sukhumvit Soi 31 has been sliding up the cool scale for years. It’s no wonder, then, that Design Hotels’ sole Bangkok member, Public House, fits right in with its mix of eye-popping art, smart bedrooms, and an all-day cafe frequented by the district’s creative crowd. There’s a co-working space with a whisper-quiet podcast lounge, a Technogym-equipped fitness center, and bicycles on loan to explore the nearby parks and khlongs (canals) on two wheels.

Amenities: Co-working space, restaurant, gym, pool
Bonus Tip: Keep an eye on the event calendar for free-for-all happenings, from DJ sets to workshops and quiz nights.
Address: 249 Soi Sukhumvit 31, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110

The 10 Best Hotels in Bangkok From HighRise Suites to Riverside Stays

Courtesy Dusit Thani Bangkok

When it comes to views, few hotels deliver more bang for your baht than the Dusit Thani Bangkok, which recently reopened after a five-year, top-to-bottom rebuild. Wall-to-wall windows in all of its 257 rooms and suites look out over the green sprawl of Lumphini Park (Bangkok’s version of Central Park) which also swipes the difficult-to-steal spotlight from the lounger-lined infinity pool and the two Art Deco-styled rooftop bars. The hotel’s perch at the junction between the buzzy business districts of Silom and Sathorn makes it as easy to hit the park for an early-morning jog as it is to dive into the city’s after-dark chaos.
