It was a simpler time, Tomato Girl Summer. Judging by her latest outfit, it seems Emma Watson is on board with a return to dressing like it’s 2023.

The actor and activist was recently spotted walking the streets of Saint-Tropez with her trainer. Rather than dress for a workout, though, Watson opted to wear an orangey-red bikini underneath a black crochet long-sleeve dress. It seems as though she’s maintaining that color palette throughout her trip. On another recent day out, Watson strolled along the rocky terrain in a red ankle-length dress with a fishtail hem and low-contrast burgundy polka dots. The flirty, bias-cut slip hails from Réalisation Par and retails for $290.

Rather than walk along the trail in hiking shoes—or even the teal Adidas she wore recently—Watson stayed true to her sartorial vision in a pair of cherry red ballerina flats (which resemble Martiniano’s signature glove flats).

Amid a sea of butter yellow, Emma Watson isn’t the only celebrity aching for a return to tomato red. Earlier this summer—also in Saint-Tropez—Kendall Jenner walked through town in a red boatneck minidress with matching flip-flops from The Row. In Los Angeles, Bella Hadid’s red halter and gingham capris made for a vintage-inspired look. Maybe there’s a solid case for a return to red after all.
