Emma Stone is no stranger to owning a red carpet. Ever since she burst onto the Hollywood scene, thanks to her breakout role in the 2007 comedy Superbad, the actor has transformed herself from an emerging star into a glamorous A-lister—and her impeccable array of gowns on the step and repeat have had a lot to do with it. In honor of her new Vogue September cover, out today, we’re revisiting her very best red carpet moments. (There are, after all, plenty to choose from.)

Unsurprisingly, many of Stone’s most memorable fashion looks happen during awards season. Whether she has attended the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs, or the Oscars (where she has won Best Actress twice!), Stone has consistently played the part of a leading lady—using statement fashion choices to match her stellar performances. The actor has also worked with stylist Petra Flannery for over a decade, and together they have created somewhat of a uniform around sleek, sculptural dresses that feature a commanding shape. Take her 2012 Oscars look, a red Giambattista Valli gown with an oversized bow tied at the neck. A frock you still remember today!

Stone’s penchant for strong and exuberant colors is equally as trophy-worthy. At the 2012 Golden Globes, there was that moody, plunging burgundy Lanvin gown. In 2014, at The Amazing Spider-Man 2 premiere, she sported a bright yellow Versace column gown—a wearable ray of sunshine. From demure to eye-popping, Stone has refreshingly tried out every shade of the rainbow; You have to admire her zest for experimentation.

More recently? Stone has proven herself to be a true Louis Vuitton girl, given she is a face for the label. At the Oscars just last year, she commanded the red carpet when she wore a mint-green peplum gown by Vuitton. Naturally, she came home with the golden statue—again. Sure, she is an award-winning talent, but her spotlight-stealing style deserves all the accolades, too.

Below, more of Stone’s best red carpet moments over the years—and vote on your very favorite look.
