Spring 2026 was crowned the “September to Remember,” the most eventful season in modern fashion history, one poised to change the way we get dressed, with 16 designers presenting debut collections at 15 of the most important labels in New York, Milan, and Paris. Here at Vogue Runway we had a real-time leaderboard tracking the labels garnering interest with audiences, looking at a mix of visitors on our site, Google searches, social impressions, and even searches on The RealReal. Meanwhile on the Vogue Runway Image Archive, we’ve introduced functionality that allows you to save looks to your own inspiration boards. It’s given us a new insight into the collections: which looks were saved the most times.

The 15 top looks, which you can see below, paint a unique view of the season. Fewer than half of the brands with designer debuts are represented—Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Balenciaga, Demna’s Gucci, Louise Trotter’s Bottega Veneta, Matthieu Blazy’s Chanel, Jonathan Anderson’s Dior, and Rachel Scott’s Proenza Schouler. But, interestingly, the most-saved looks aren’t the ones that proved most popular on social media, with the exception of Gucci’s animal-print coat modeled by Alex Consani. The rest of the favorited outfits come from an interesting mix of brands: Dolce & Gabbana, Schiaparelli, Prada, Givenchy (where Sarah Burton just presented her second collection), Saint Laurent, Alaïa, Michael Kors, Balmain, and Tory Burch.

None of them qualify as pure runway fantasy, except for the uniform shirt (and knickers!) layered underneath a deep-V-neck sweater, topped off with one of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons’s flighty “suspender skirts” and accessorized with bright blue leather opera gloves. (Of course it would be a Prada look to break the rule). Nine of the top 15 are sensible outfits where roomy trousers play a starring role; the evening looks are just as relaxed, be it Pieter Mulier’s Alaïa dress-coat, worn with playful fringe underneath, or Daniel Roseberry’s slim, easy black sheath with gold-trimmed cutouts at Schiaparelli. Even Anthony Vaccarello’s cruising look for Saint Laurent, with its hardcore oversized leather motorcycle jacket, leather pencil skirt, and white poplin pussy bow blouse is surprisingly approachable once you break down its components. In a way these spring 2026 looks do show a new way forward for fashion, one that prioritizes a real sense of comfort and ease and reflects the way women dress for their very real, very busy lives.
