The 2025 Venice Film Festival is nearing its end, and the stars are leaving the floating city behind in style.
The festival is the unofficial bridge between summer and fall. While there were summer trends aplenty—from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s scarf skirt to Kaia Gerber’s polka-dot halter—it’s clear that people are ready for the cooler weather. Alexa Chung and Tom Sturridge modeled his and hers leather jackets while Eva Herzigova broke out her trench coat and loafers.
Venice also proved the perfect spot for designers to soft-launch their new collections; Jonathan Anderson teased his vision of Dior with Greta Lee and Monica Barbaro both wearing unreleased womenswear (Andrew Garfield, for his part, modeled the menswear). Elsewhere, Vicky Krieps and Jacob Elordi stayed true to Bottega Veneta in their intrecciato leather.
Of course, no travel style is complete without a bag. Myha’la rolled a pair of telltale Rimowa suitcases, while Naomi Watts opted for an Away bag. On the handbag front, Julia Roberts chose a Celine bag fresh from Michael Rider’s debut; Lee chose a Madam Bovary tote from Dior’s literary book bags; and Catherine Deneuve carried an alligator Hermès Kelly.
And, naturally, the festival wouldn’t be complete without sartorial nods to its home turf. Mia Goth and Kim Kardashian—both noted fans of Italian widowcore—arrived wearing a Nonna-approved head scarf and a black widow dress, respectively.
