Jenna Ortega’s press tour for Wednesday has been a goth girl triumph—with the help of her stylist Enrique Melendez, the duo have crafted a wardrobe that expands the gothic universe of the show beyond any other attempt at celebrity method dressing. The actor has slipped into pirate witch-esque Vivienne Westwood, champagne silks, freaky Simone Rocha prints, and an elevated pair of mall goth boots. But a stop-off in Australia posed some questions—how does Wednesday Addams-core translate to Bondi Beach? Well, Jenna Ortega has come with the answers.

Photographed on the famous Sydney beach in between promo duties, Ortega wore a long leather trench coat tied at the waist with a nude slip underneath, with black, elongated cat eye sunglasses. She was wearing a pair of black buckle biker boots, but kicked them off to paddle her feet.

While Ortega’s group of friends dressed more for the coastal setting in denim, tanks, and shorts, Ortega stayed committed.

The beach goth aesthetic has proved pretty popular this summer—from Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti in dressy all-black looks for a date night in Ibiza, to Margot Robbie’s own dark look balanced out with beachy accessories for a vacation on the White Island. But celebrity beachside style has also been quite vast this year—from a lemon Pucci-clad Hailey Bieber for her Rhode pop-up in Mallorca, to Kate Moss’s chaotic beach bag in the form of a Birkin, and Dakota Johnson checking off every summer it-girl brand in every seaside look.

Just a few weeks ago, Ortega attended the Paris premiere, which was themed Le Beach Club De Mercredi (‘Wednesday’s Beach Club’). Here, she opted for a nautical theme in a fall 2025 ready-to-wear Vivienne Westwood gown by Andreas Kronthaler. The brown and cream look featured a ruffled neckline that plunged below the navel, with a sheer cream boned corset that cinched at the waist, with a high front slit. Switching it up from the runway styling, she added a brown leather belt, stilettos, and jewelry that included a large cut-out cross pendant and rings by Loree Rodkin. Ortega walked the red carpet, and served up some gothy soft serve.
